Anyone can receive an implant treatment as long as the bone growth has matured (on the average, over 16 years of age) and all medical and anatomical conditions are met. Basically, there is no age limit, although it may also depend on the condition of the jaw bone.

Treatment cost varies depending on the numbers and types of the implants, types of artificial teeth to put over the implants as well as the severity of the condition.

Local anesthesia in the oral cavity is given before the implant operation and therefore, it is virtually painless. It will take anything from 30 minutes to 2 hours. After the anesthesia wears out, the scar may hurt or swell up, which shall subside shortly. In most cases, patients do not need to be hospitalized, although hospitalization may become necessary depending on the number of implants. However, we recommend patients to rest well after the treatment.

Chewing function can be improved significantly by receiving an implant treatment. You might feel some discomfort until you get used to the implant(s), but after a while, you will be able to chew food such as piece of French bread, apples, or meat like you did before.

Titanium implant is biocompatible and will not decay. It is also proven that titanium does not cause any rejection reaction. Therefore, there will be no adverse effect on human body.
