FAQ for Doctor
Can a healing abutment be used for B-type implants?
It can be used for B-type implants of up to 4 mm in diameter. (There will be a slight gap between the implant and the healing abutment.)
The longest healing abutment available is 5 mm in length. If the cuff of the gingiva is longer than this, what shall I do?
Place AB35C30J on the implant temporarily, cover it with PAIL35 and fill in the resin. After the resin hardens, stabilize it with temporary adhesion cement. However, this should be a relatively rare case. When selecting the implant, take into consideration the balance between the root and the crown of the tooth. Also pay attention to the occlusion.
When fixing the abutment after the two-stage C-type implant was embedded, which abutment shall I choose if the cuff of the gingiva is less than 4 mm?
It will depend on the impression method, direction of the implant and the condition of the prosthetic appliance. For a single crown, use AB35C-HEX or AB35C-HEXL and make face cuts to prevent rotation. If this cannot be done due to the direction of the implant, AG35C-HEX15 may be a good choice. The impression method shall be a direct impression or an open tray impression using C-coping.
For connected implants, all the abutments for C-type can be used. When setting the margin freely, AB35C25, AB35C35, AB35H4C2, or AG35C15 (angled) will be effective. In this case, use the direct impression method.
When using FIT System and determining the impression using a closed tray, use AB35C10J to AB35C30J. When using AB35C-HEX, AB35C-HEXL, or AG35C-HEX15, refer to an open-tray impression using C-coping.
was thinking about using an abutment for grinding. The affected tooth is slightly tilted toward the cheek. In this case, which abutment shall I choose? (Question by "O"Dental Office)
For a B-type implant, you can grind AG35HEX15 or AB35HEXL and use it. If the diameter of the implant is over 4.7 mm (wide type), choose AG43HEX15 or AB43HEX and grind it. For a C-type implant, grind AG35C-HEX15 or AB35C-HEX.
For connecting implants, use AG35-B15 for B-type or AG43-B15 for Wide Type. For a C-type implant, AG-C15 can be used as well.
